Duty of Care:
HSE guidelines in 'Driving at Work' state: Occupational road-risk "should be effectively managed within a health and safety system". Employers owe a duty of care to staff who drive their own vehicles for work as well as to those driving company-owned or leased vehicles and should therefore have evidence that they have taken all "reasonably practicable measures" to manage risk associated with business journeys in employee-owned cars.
